Holidays At Balboa Park

During the Christmas Holiday, Balboa park is shining with the most beautiful lights and Christmas trees. It is always lovely to take an evening stroll to look at all the lights and the lit-up Christmas tree.

On December 2nd and 3rd, they do a fantastic Christmas event called December Nights. This event is free and is from 3-11 pm. This event will have tons of food, beautiful Christmas lights, and music to make the night so eventful.

This event gets jam-packed and hosts a lot of families; even though this event is free, parking does get filled up very quickly, so make sure to come early to secure parking. Also, they offer shuttle services to other parking lots, so be sure to look out for those.

Come out and experience this wonderful tradition that is just wonderful for the family to share.

Christmas at Liberty Station

Liberty Station is one of our favorite places to hang out, and it’s even more delightful during the Christmas season.

Liberty Station has an 88-foot Christmas tree with the most lovely lights and decorated with beautiful ornaments. This gorgeous tree is enormous, and they do a special Christmas tree lighting every year to kick off the holiday season.

This year the Christmas tree lighting will take place on November 25, 2022, from 5-9 pm. Coming here the day after thanksgiving and being surrounded by Christmas magic is incredible.

They will have kids’ activities, food, drinks, and much more. It couldn’t be any more perfect than this. Come to Liberty Station to kick off the Holidays and create those loving, lasting memories.

The Nutcracker at Liberty Station

The Nutcracker is a Christmas Classic; everyone should see this wonderful ballet at least once.

The Nutcracker is played here annually at Liberty station and is nothing short of wonderful. Here you can watch the show while you sip on hot cocoa or delicious hot tea. Here at Liberty Station, they call it the Nutcracker tea party.

Make sure you bookmark this classic show and experience it while enjoying a warm cup of tea and holiday-tasting pastries.

Now, does it get any better than that? Christmas is the best time of the year, and watching Christmas classics makes it that much better.

Ice Skating at Liberty Station

Come and ice skate for a cause!

Ice skating just got a little better because while you ice skate and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere; you know your money is going toward a great cause.

The Randy Children’s Hospital rink is up every year at Liberty Station, and the proceeds of this ice rink go to childhood cancer and blood disorders.

Not only are your ice skating, but you’re also helping children who have or are battling cancer. So please check it out if you are in the area, it’s lots of fun, and families will enjoy their time.

The ice skating rink is located at 2875 Dewey rd, San Diego, ca 92106, in Liberty Station click here to get more info on this great activity and how it benefits the children.

Christmas at Petco Park

Petco Park’s, Gallager Square, is transformed with Christmas magic, a winter wonderland at its finest.

German-style booths and Christmas music will surround the entire area. You’ll find fantastic food, cocktails, hot cocoa, and little boutiques here.

Our family came here in 2021, and it was an experience we will never forget! We walked through the path of Christmas lights, took pictures with Santa, and explored the shops.

We indulged in some fantastic food and washed it down with craft cocktails from their Christmas bar. Our kids enjoyed some homemade Belgium chocolate, Hot cocoa, and dessert! The Sugar rush was worth it!

Make sure you plan and buy your tickets for this great event which starts December 1 – 23. Click here to get more info.
