Old Town Orange Christmas Tree Lighting

The Orange Circle is one of our favorite places to walk around, have dinner, or go for a pleasant stroll. This place is so beautiful and has so much beauty and history. My husband and I decided to attend their yearly Christmas tree-lighting celebration a few years ago. Since then, we’ve made it a family tradition.

The Orange Circle transforms into Christmas cheer, and the Orange Circle streets are closed for this fabulous event. The streets get packed with vendors and a lot of Christmas joy. We love having dinner at one of the many great restaurants in the circle, then walking around and waiting for the tree lighting countdown. It’s a family tradition we’ve created, and our family looks forward to it every year.

This year’s event will take place on December 3rd, and The festivities start at 5:15 pm. It gets busy, so make sure that reservations are made in advance if you plan to have dinner at one of the restaurants.

Newport Boat Parade – Newport Beach

The Newport boat parade is a must-see experience. Newport Bay gets lit with the most amazing Christmas light show ever. The boats and yachts of Newport transform into Christmas galore, and it has the Pacific Ocean beaming. Newport boat owners go all out for this event and decorate the boats like you never thought possible. The whole concept of a boat parade is just fantastic. This year will mark the 114th year that Newport put on this beautiful parade. It is something you would want to add to the bucket list of Christmas activities. The whole family will enjoy it. What I love about this is you can make it a date!! Plan a dinner before or after the parade and enjoy the beautiful city of Newport Beach. Newport has some fantastic restaurants, so this will be a blast. Click here to get more info, such as dates and times.

This Christmas event starts on December 2nd and runs until December 30th. They have arts and crafts for the kids, prayer candles that can be lit, and much more! Also, exploring Christmas events is always fun if there’s dinner involved, right?? Hahaha, near the mission, you’ll find some fantastic, delicious restaurants. You can also take the metro link to the mission, which drops you off right in front of the San Juan Mission; that’s always a fun experience for the family.
